NewsPortal Theme

This is a Contentteller port of NewsPortal, an open source webdesign by  Designs By Darren

Description:
News Portal is designed for heavy content sites. It is very lightweight. Only 18.4KB. It uses a tableless, 3-column, fluid width layout that expands horizontally to fit the browser window. The left and right column are 160 pixels wide. The large center column is fluid. The template stretches vertically to accommodate as much content as you like. The horizontal tabbed menu bar is just a simple list with CSS applied. Very easy to change menu items.

This template set is compatible with Contentteller Professional/Business Edition 2008 and Contentteller Community Edition 1.0

Installation:
1) Unzip the attached zip file and upload the content of the upload directory to your Contentteller main directory
2) Import the template set:
Templates => Import/Export => Import/Update Template Set from XML file => newsportal => Submit

Actually, it takes only around 30-60 minutes to port an average CSS template to Contentteller Face Screaming in Fear

After the default template set of Contentteller is also CSS based you mainly need to change the CSS, site_header, and site_footer.

For you maybe, because you know it inside out Smiling Face It's your baby. I have to study the source for each template and figure out the order they appear in in the the output html, and it's taking a lot of time. And I get lost seeing so many templates that are split apart (header and footer being separated from the main section makes it hard to be aware what it's gonna look like when CT joins them together). But keep up the good work. Although to be honest, I'd be happier if you worked on releasing the gold version. I think the themes can be released later, seeing as how you already have about six of them now.

Philipp this is awesome. My ST websites have long needed an overhaul. Now that you've done the hardest part, because I was totally overwhelmed by the huge number of templates, perhaps I can improve on this one and use it for my websites (I was expecting weeks of work redoing all the CT templates).
