When I fill out the info about my server and database and click continue it sits at a blank screen.

Seems like a permission problem. You need to set the storyteller directory writable. This could be done under Windows Explorer

Can I uncompress those and use them on windows? I was planning on RH 9 server but other software being loaded was windows based only.

We were having someone setup our site and we purchased the software but that person has dropped out of contact. Is it possible to find our order?
