Frequently Asked Questions
How many installs are allowed?
The included Contentteller license can be installed on your main website and on a separate test website. You can also add an unlimited number of additional websites by pointing domains to your main installation. However, the admin section to manage your website is only accessible from your main domain.
What is Basic Support?
This is support regarding maintenance of your installation. For example, if you run into an issue where your website stop working or need help with installation or upgrade. The Professional and Business plans comes with extended support cases for all other cases, including customization of the templates and custom work. An extended support case is limited to 45 minutes/each. However, you can ask all your non-maintenance questions in the support forums.
How long is each Contentteller version supported?
Each major version (e.g. 3.x, 4.x etc.) is supported 10 years after it's initial release with updates. This offers the best possible stability after the system requirement remains the same.
What are the limitations of the Starter Edition?
The starter edition offers all features of Contentteller but there are two limitation. 1) You can use only SQLite 3 for your database. This is suitable for small websites and testing. You can upgrade anytime to a paid support plan to get full support for MariaDB/MySQL and PostgreSQL. 2) You are required to keep the "Powered by" branding link visible in the footer of the page. Purchasing the paid support plans allows you to remove that branding link. If you upgrade to a paid plan, the additional year of access will be added to your remaining days of download access.
What happen after the support plan expires?
Every support plan comes with a perpetual license of Contentteller. That means you can run your existing Contentteller installation as long as you want but you won't have access to updates and support until you purchase a new support plan. This is also valid for the free Starter plan.
How does the renewal work?
You can buy any time any combination of Standard, Professional, or Business support plans for your account. Any purchase will add additional support access for updates and basic support. However, extended support cases are only valid for the specified length. For example: Purchasing two Professional plans will give you 2 years of updates and basic support but only 1 year for the 6 support cases.
Are there any discounts for the renewal?
Yes, there is a 30€/$35 discount if you order the renewal until 5 days after your paid access is expired. The discounted prices are: Standard 55€/$64, Professional 139€/$164, and Business 369€/$434. All prices are net prices without VAT. The discount is valid for any combination of the paid Standard, Professional, or Business plan. However, there is no discount if you upgrade from the free starter plan.
What is the refund policy?
A full or partial refund will only be offered at our discretion. Please try Contentteller using the free 90 days starter plan to see if it fit your needs before considering purchasing any support plan. You need an active customer account (for example, the starter plan) to order one of the paid support plans.
