    Suggestion regarding templates

I'm really enjoying this system you've put together, Phillip.
I also appreciate your quick response when I had questions, the speed and quality of your sevice was quite impressive.

Since I'm new to your product (Storyteller CMS standard) and new to CMS in general - I'm going to start posting questions / suggestions / comments that I encounter along the way in an effort to get some discussioin going in your forums.

Suggestion: When editing the templates, the editor window is limited to your browser size and your monitor's resolution. Since I'm running at 1024x768, horizontal space is precious.

The templates that come with the default install use TABS to add whitespace so a person can more easily separate elements. My suggestion is this: switch from the TAB character to 2-3 (I think 3 is standard) spaces for each indention level. This will still allow for visual organization of the HTML code, but will reduce the amount of whitespace used to achieve the indentations. As a secondary benefit, there seems to be no way to enter a TAB character into the template editor (I'm using Opera 7.03) as the TAB key takes you out of the text window and to the next form element (the SEND key).

    Just a thought!

    :)

Thanks for your suggestion. I might do this in one of the next versions :)

Alternatively, you can edit the templates offline in your favorite editor. Just download the template directory, edit the templates and reupload the edited files.

I personal prefer a mix of both ;)

    Suggestion regarding templates

Sure thing, happy to help. I'll keep trying to provide feedback as I go.

Yeah I agree, I don't see it as a bug nor as something that is critical.
It was just a thought for future versions.
